Germany work permit processing time is typically 8–12 weeks from the date of your embassy appointment. However, it can take up to 6 months in some cases depending on your nationality, visa type, and document completeness. EU Blue Card and Skilled Worker Visa may have expedited processing for shortage occupation fields.

The Germany work visa fee is €75 (approximately PKR 23,000–25,000). This is the standard national visa fee paid to the German Embassy or VFS Global. Additional service charges may apply at VFS. This fee is non-refundable even if the visa is rejected.

The Germany Opportunity Card allows skilled workers from non-EU countries to enter Germany for up to 1 year to search for employment — without a prior job offer. For the EU Blue Card 2026, the minimum annual gross salary requirement is €45,300 for general occupations.
